Rockstar Making It Snow With Familiar Festive Event For ‘Grand Theft Auto 5 Online’
Rockstar has gotten into the holiday mood though the special Christmas event has become more of a tradition for “Grand Theft Auto 5 Online” players. The Festive Surprise event is back and GTA 5 players get the chance to snag lots of goodies and play in the snow-filled San Andreas.
Originally launched four years ago, Rockstar continues the festive tradition that includes a new car at Benny’s, festive wardrobes such as hats and masks which will be available for purchase from the in-game store until Jan. 9, 2017.
In all, the availability of this festive-inspired stuff should get the Christmas spirit into “Grand Theft Auto 5”. For those who have cash to spare, getting hold of the customizable Truffade Nero could be a trip.
If in-game cash is a problem for GTA 5 players, they can always sell off the stolen vehicles on their end. Gamers stand to earn up to $50,000 for cars stolen from the latest Import/Export DLC, Neurogadget reported.
Being the holidays, Rockstar is offering some items at special price-offs as well. Good until Jan. 2, 2017, this includes vehicles, air travel, real estate and ‘Ammu-Nation’. The cars GTA 5 players can look forward to buying at 25 percent off include Enus Super Diamond, Nagasaki Shotaro, Neons and Resprays, Game Spot reported.
For those looking to enhance their artillery, GTA 5 players can look forward to a compact grenade launcher, compact rifle, mini SMG and a sweeper shotgun. For players who don’t want to waste their in-game money, fetching jumpers are reportedly being given away for free.
Aside from the big discounts on GTA 5 items, players can also look forward to a rewarding Festive Surprise 2016 contest. Gamers can win as much as $1,000,000 in-game cash when they join the Snapmatic Contest, Video Games Republic reported.
To join, all gamers have to do is upload a Snapmatic image from the Festive Surprise 2016 bundle. They just need to use the hashtag #FESTIVESURPRISE2016 to be eligible. Submission of entries can be done until 11:59 PM E.T. on Jan. 2.
