Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Jackdaw Edition Announced, Offers All DLC Released So Far

Jackdraw Edition of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag is Next-Gen Only

If you've been enjoying Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag since its release like a good landlubber, ye need not read on. For those of you who never bothered to sail the game's clear blue waters, your procastination has paid off, as Ubisoft as announced a new edition of the game, the Jackdaw Edition.

In addition to the complete game, it also nets all the DLC that's released for the game so far. It's essentially the same thing had you bothered to score a Season Pass for the game. Think of it as a Game of the Year Edition if that helps.

A complete list of the available content can be found below thanks to a release from Ubisoft. Check the links when needed for further information:

- Death Vessel Pack - Show your enemies that you are ready to bring death upon them with the Death Vessel sails, figurehead and wheel.

- Kraken Ship Pack
 - This pack includes a sail, wheel, and figurehead inspired by the legendary sea monster known for swallowing ships, men and whales.

- Crusader & Florentine Pack
 - With these new cosmetic sets, sail with Altaïr or Ezio's colors with 4 customization items for your ship and 2 new weapons for Edward.

- Illustrious Pirates Pack - This pack adds 3 new islands to explore with its hidden treasure chests, new outfits, weapons, ship items and more; ready to be discovered. Customize your multiplayer experience with new skins and items.

- Multiplayer #1: Blackbeard's Wrath
 - Blackbeard's Wrath Pack extends the multiplayer experience with three new fearsome playable characters including the Orchid, Blackbeard himself and the Jaguar.

- Multiplayer #2: Guild of Rogues - The Guild of Rogues Pack extends the multiplayer experience with three additional playable characters including the Stowaway, the Shaman and the Siren! This pack also comes with new customization options, and new moves.

- Freedom Cry -  the standalone DLC that tells the story of Adewale, Kenway's first mate, and continues the story after Black Flag. As Ubisoft described it, "Born a slave, Adewale found freedom as a pirate aboard the Jackdaw as Captain Edward Kenway's second-in-command. Fifteen years later, Adewale has become a trained assassin and finds himself shipwrecked in Saint-Domingue with no weapon nor crew, starting a new adventure of his own."

Here's the fine print you should be aware of. The Jackdaw Edition is only going next-gen, releasing later this month for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It's also an exclusive offer from Amazon, and (for the time being) only for the UK. The new edition hits March 28, and can be grabbed for £59.99.
