Nintendo Switch Sold Out In Japan; Target’s New Nintendo Switch Bundle At $499
The Nintendo Switch hardware is currently holding up against the Sony PS4's first weeks on sale in Japan. Recent reports further revealed that the Nintendo Switch sales have nearly doubled during its fourth week of release in Japan. In addition, the Nintendo Switch comparison sales report with the Sony PlayStation 4 during its first seven weeks on sale in Japan have been revealed.
Nintendo Switch Sold Out Every Time It Ships
Data from Media Create revealed that in the first week of selling in Japan, there were 329, 152 units of Nintendo Switch units sold in Japan, Kotaku reported. On the other hand, Sony sold 309, 154 PS4 consoles in the country. By the second week, there were more PS4 units sold out with only a slight margin in comparison to the Nintendo Switch. On the third, fourth, fifth, sixth and seventh week the Nintendo Switch was already outselling the Sony console in the market.
As the data revealed, the Nintendo Switch sales have kept going with each shipment selling out quickly by the day. On the contrary, the PS4 sales have declined and have not sold out at all. It is expected that the Nintendo Switch would keep its momentum in Japan selling strong fifteen weeks in.
Target Just Restocked The Nintendo Switch
Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch is said to be the fastest-selling gaming console in Nintendo's history, BGR reported. Selling out as soon as it ships, the Nintendo Switch has been difficult to find since it launched.
