Leaks Reveal iPhone 8 Design Details And New iPhone Model
Samsung has just recently released their Galaxy S8 and all eyes are now on Apple as the tech giant gears up for their next generation iPhone release this year. The company from Cupertino has not officially shared any details regarding the next model but several leaks have been shared. However, a pair of leaks has given consumers a look at the upcoming iPhone 8 and what is speculated to be a new iPhone SE.
The leaked renders of the iPhone 8 were apparently shared by a well-known tipster named Steve Hemmerstoffer, who goes by the handle Onleaks. According to Forbes, the renders are reportedly from CAD files he was able to procure and seems to coincide with other speculations about its design. The new model sports a metal frame with a rear panel made of glass. The camera sits within a raised bump on the upper left corner of its back cover. The vertically-aligned dual-camera is set with a flash module in between the two image sensors.
The front panel of the iPhone 8 renders also showcases greatly reduced bezels and the absence of a physical home button. The image supports the other rumors that the new model will integrate their fingerprint sensor into the front display module. A speaker and mic grille can be found on the bottom of its metal frame that sandwiches the lighting port, while the volume, mute switch, and power buttons are in their usual locations. The SIM tray is located on the right flank of the phone's frame.
Several sources have also speculated some of the key hardware components that will ship with the iPhone 8. The screen is reportedly going to be close the size of the iPhone 7 Plus but will maintain the frame size of the iPhone 7. Its display will also use an OLED panel, which is a first for Apple. The phone is expected to be the first model that will have built-in wireless charging technology. Meanwhile, Tim Cook, Apple CEO, has expressed concern that iPhone rumors have affected the sales of the iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone 7, as reported by Business Insider.
New iPhone SE
Along with the leaked renders of the iPhone 8 are rumored post-production pictures of what is suspected to be the new iPhone SE. The new design showcases a glass covered back cover that encloses the camera and flash modules under the panel. Additionally, Hemmerstoffer claims that the leaked designs might be from prototype designs and not the final production model.
