Alien: Isolation Release Date Set For October 7 on Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3 and PC [VIDEO]

Alien: Isolation is Coming Out October 7, Are You Excited?

Alien fans, get ready. SEGA announced today that Alien: Isolation will have a release date of October 7.

"We couldn't be happier to finally announce a date for Alien: Isolation," said Alistair Hope, Creative Lead at Creative Assembly in SEGA's press release. "The reaction we have seen so far has been simply incredible, from the screams and shrieks to the cold sweats and racing hearts. It's the Alien game that we've always wanted to play and we can't wait to let everyone get their hands on it this fall."

The game will be making its way to Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC at release. The newest member of the Alien video game family will be looking to ditch the sour taste left in gamers' collective mouths by Aliens: Colonial Marines with a more survival horror feel than shooter.

The game will feature Ellen Ripley's daughter Amanda in a battle against one single xenomorph in a cramped ship. After receiving a message that her mother may have been found, Amanda goes to investigate, but finds herself cornered. Players then take over as Amanda from a first-person perspective, in an effort to survive the xenomorph and maybe even solve the mystery of her missing mother.

It definitely looks promising, but it's going to be tough to trust SEGA again after the disaster that was Colonial Marines.

Will this Alien game be on your pre-order list for October 7, or are you going to sit on it until reviews come out? Let us know in the comments, and check out the announce trailer again to refresh your memory.
