In Car Mechanic Simulator 2021, players can restore cars that are available, ranging from classic Americana muscle cars to compact cars to modern sports cars, using more than 4,000 car parts.

These cars can either be from those that are already installed in the game, from the downloadable content (DLC) car packs, or from the Steam Workshop where they can download car mods.

One of the said downloadable car mods is the one for the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, a grand tourer built by Ferrari as part of its Ferrari 250 car line, which was seen production from 1952 to 1964.

The said car was used either for road use or for car races, especially during the 10-day Tour de France automobile race.

How to Restore a Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta

Once they have downloaded the file for the car mod from the Steam Workshop, and pasted it in the game's folder, players can now find, and buy, the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta in the Junkyard, the Barn, and the Car Auction.

After purchasing the car, according to Alex K's YouTube video, they will wash the body and the interior in the Car Wash, then they will move it to one of the Car Lifts that are in the Garage.

From there, they will drain whatever oil that is remaining inside the car's engine using the Oil Drain machine, then they will drain the rest of the fluids such as the brake fluid, the coolant, and the windshield washer fluid using the Drain Tool.

After they are done draining, they will disassemble the whole car, and get the parts that are needed to be repaired or restored, until what is remaining on the Car Lift is the body frame, which they need to repair using the Wielding Machine.

Then, they will repair the parts that they can still use in the restoration project by placing them on Repair Tables that are in the Workshop. From there, they will play a minigame where they need to accurately hit the green tabs in order to fully fix the said parts.

They will also need to recharge the battery, if there is any inside the car's engine bay, by placing them on the Battery Charger.

On the other hand, the car parts that cannot be repaired anymore will be sold instead for additional Credit, which they can use to buy replacement parts, or Performance Parts if they want to increase the car's Tuning percentage.

If they bought the car from the Junkyard, they will also need to buy the parts that are missing.

Once they got the repaired and replaced parts, they will start reassembling the whole Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, starting with the engine, which is an I6 DOHC.

In order to start building the said engine on the Engine Stand, they will need the engine block, the crankshaft, the pistons with their rings, the crankshaft bearing caps, the rod caps, the oil pan, the oil filter, the flywheel, the clutch plate, the clutch pressure plate, and the clutch release bearing.

They will also need the engine head, the camshafts, the camshaft caps, the spark plugs, the engine head cover, the carburetors, the air filters, the exhaust manifolds, and the fuel filter.

They will also need the cam gears, the timing chain, the timing chain sprocket, the timing cover, the alternator, the water pump and pulley, the crankshaft pulley, the ignition distributor with its rotor, cap and clips, and the ignition wires.

Once they finished building the whole engine, they will remove it from the Engine Stand, then they will put it inside the engine bay using the Engine Pulley.

Then, they will install the car's internal parts such as the gearbox, the starter, the battery, the brake servo, the windshield washer reservoirs, the fuse box and cover with the new fuses and relays, the radiator, and the fuel tank and pump.

Afterwards, they will install the rest of parts, including those for the exhaust pipes, the suspension, and the braking system, as well as the engine cover, the tires and the rims, the body kit including the doors, the windshield and the other glass panels for the windows, the lights, and the parts for the interior such as the steering wheel and the seats.

Once they finished reassembling the whole car, they will fill up the engine, the brake servo, the radiator, and the reservoir with a new batch of oil and other fluids, then they will paint the body with the color of their choice in the Paint Booth.

Then, they will move the car to the Test Path room to realign the lights and the wheels, as well as to test the newly-installed braking system.

Afterwards, they will move it to the Dyno Test room to tune up the gears in the gearbox and to do a dyno test to check the performance of the newly-built engine.

Once they are satisfied with the results, they can now test drive their very own Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta, which they can either sell for additional profit or add to their in-game car collection.
