'Dead by Daylight' Creative Director Wants to Collaborate with Stephen King in the Future

"Dead by Daylight" creative director Dave Richard dreamt of collaborating with notable horror writer Stephen King someday.

According to the game author, he would like to see King's monsters. Some of them, which first came from his novels, have already made their way to the big screen.

"Dead by Daylight" creative director Dave Richard dreamt of collaborating with notable horror writer Stephen King someday.

On Tuesday, Feb. 15, Newsweek reported that Richard shared his plans to include Stephen King's monsters into the survival horror game. Of course, this appears to be simple and easy as it sounds, but it's quite a complicated process, to say the least.

Incorporating a new intellectual property into the game will involve discussing matters about licenses and rights. Indeed if this dream collaboration takes place in the future, "Dead by Daylight" will be able to release new killers and survivors taken from King's popular books.

"I am a big fan of the Stephen King universe and the villains from his books. I would love to play one of the monsters. I think it would be amazing. It's such a great universe and there are so many different possibilities that we could realize. Obviously, this is not as easy as it seems, as licensing is still a very complex issue," the creative head of Behaviour Interactive said.

If the negotiation goes well between Richard Bachman and Dave, we could see our favorite characters in the game, such as Carrie, Pennywise, George Stark, Rose the Hat, the Crimson King, and more iconic horror characters.

'Dead by Daylight' Brings Sadako

Going back to Behaviour Interactive, the recent update for "Dead by Daylight" introduced a famous ghost from "The Ring" franchise. Sadako is reportedly coming to the game on March 8, Gaming Deputy reported.

The lady who is well-known for her long white dress and wet black hair is now ready to haunt the survivors next month. "Sadako Rise" is expected to bring a fresh experience for players who used to embrace the darkness.

Sadako, as the 32nd killer to enter the game, will be joining other characters from several horror film franchises and video games. These include Nemesis, Ghost Face, The Wraith, Michael Myers, Bubba Sawyer, and more creepy killers.

The Onryo Killer Powers

In another article from G Infinity Esports, Sadako or "The Onryo" has a lot of interesting powers to see. The first one is the Deluge of Fear, wherein she haunts the survivors with a curse.

Originally, Sadako could not be seen by the survivors in the distance. However, the invisibility will break in when the targets are situated within 32 meters from her.

For her special ability, The Onryo can cast manifestation, which was previously mentioned. This is a good ability to sneak on the victims and catch them off guard.

The second ability involves projection, wherein Sadako can project herself through a television. When the survivors are located within 16 meters from the TV, condemned progress is made.

A survivor who is subjected to that will be immediately detected so The Onryo can easily kill them once they are sighted.
