'Elden Ring' Guide: How to Find Summoning Bell, Summon Spirits, and More

In "Elden Ring," you can summon different spirits that can help you in combat.

As far as we know, this "Souls" game is not that easy to accomplish since it traces its roots from the rest of FromSoftware's titles in the past such as "Bloodborne" and "Sekiro."

In this game guide, we will teach you how you can acquire the Summoning Bell, a tool that you need to call your spirit allies. You will also get to know other tricks as you progress in this article.

Here's a quick guide on how to get the Summoning Bell in "Elden Ring."

This tip is pretty straightforward. According to VG 247, you need to first speak to Melina so you can obtain the Torrent-summoning ability. After that, meet Kale, the merchant, and head back to the Church of Elleh Site of Grace.

Once you reach this place, you will meet Renna, a witch who will ask you if you can call spirits. She will tell you if you can summon Torrent. Just respond with "I can call the spectral steed." Later, you will receive items that were originally from the former master of the horse (Torrent).

One of these items is the Spirit Calling Bell that you can utilize in summoning souls. In addition, you can also obtain another one at the Roundtable Hold, specifically from the Twi Maiden Husks.

You will also receive Lone Wolf Ashes as your first summon, also from Renna.

How to Summon Spirits in 'Elden Ring'

Doing this is just easy. First, begin binding the spirit to your belt or pouch so you can easily access it later. Tap the button after and you can now summon a spirit. The cost of calling a creature might depend on its power.

It is to note that you can only do this at the Rebirth Monument. The clear sign that you're already in its range is where you see the creepy gate icon on your screen's left side.

Remember that only a single spirit can be summoned on the Rebirth Monument. Somehow, "Elden Ring" presents this fresh mechanic so players could have a new experience, but for true-blue "Souls" fans, this feels like cheating in some way.

How to Upgrade 'Spirit Ashes' in Elden Ring'

In 'Elden Ring,' you can upgrade the Spirit Ashes by obtaining the Grave Gloveworts. This is what you need before upgrading the Ashes.

You can snag many of them when roaming the open world. You can also obtain them by exploring small dungeons.

You should note that upgrading your Spirit Ashes will not be possible until you accomplish the earlier stage of the quest involving Roderika. You can find her in Limgrave West in the south part of Stormhill Shack.

Speak to her and she will teleport you to the Roundtable Hold after. With that, talk to Master Hewg, a blacksmith. Your job is to convince him that Roderika wants to learn spirit tuning.

There will be a shop that will appear in front of the smithing table. This will now let you upgrade the Ashes.

In another report from Kotaku, there's a mod in "Elden Ring" that will allow you to pause the game for a while. You can access "Pause The Game" by clicking this Nexus mod link.
