Bruce Wayne's Son Damian To Appear In Batman: Arkham Knight? Best Buy Says So [RUMOR]

Big Leak or Utter Buffoonery? Best Buy Has Damian Wayne Appearing In Batman: Arkham Knight

Just when you think you know everything about Batman: Arkham Knight, another wrinkle emerges.

In the month-long frenzy of news since the game was announced, we've had tons of speculation about the new game, and some confirmed details.

Scarecrow is the main villain. We all know that. There's an all new villain that appears in the title of the game, the Arkham Knight. Check, we know that. There's a Batmobile. Duh.

But Best Buy's Twitter may have just dropped a bomb on us. Or they're just dumb:

Bruce Wayne's son, you say? You mean Damian Wayne, the lovechild of Bruce Wayne and Talia al Ghul?

Well that sure would be a way to send this series off with a bang, killing Bruce Wayne and having his son take up his mantle. Maybe something of a John/Jack Marston ending in Red Dead Redemption, where once John dies in a blaze of glory you take over his son, Jack, to get redemption? (Sorry for the Red Dead spoiler, but if you haven't played that game yet, shame on you).

In the comics, Damian comes to Bruce Wayne at age 10 after being raised by Talia for the first ten years of his life (and becoming a League of Assassins killing machine in the process). Damian eventually takes over the role of Robin, working at his father's side. And even further along the line, he takes over as Batman after Bruce's death, but as a much more aggressive Batman that has no qualms with killing if he deems it necessary.

Crazy theory time: Bruce Wayne's Batman gets killed almost immediately by the Arkham Knight within the first two to three hours of gameplay (during one of those screens where the Knight has Batman at gunpoint?). Fast forward 10 years, and Damian has taken over as Batman in a Gotham that is completely lost to crime. This new, less forgiving Batman then uses all of his dad's old gadgets to destroy the Rogues Gallery once and for all, avenging his father's death. This has been your crazy theory for this article.

Of course, option B is that Best Buy is just stupid, and was trying to reference the "Father to Son" trailer featuring Thomas Wayne's audio will to Bruce, but instead wrote Bruce Wayne. As much as I think the Damian idea sounds awesome, I get the feeling that if a leak that big were released it would have been pulled from the yellow tag's Twitter immediately.

At any rate, what do you think of the idea of Batman's son making an appearance in Arkham Knight? Or is it not even worth speculating about because this must be a typo or ignorance by Best Buy? Let us know in the comments.
