'Dead by Daylight' to Bring More Original Content After Amassing 50 Million Players! More Sadako-Like Characters?

"Dead by Daylight" achieved more than 50 million players after its new content, "Ringu," was released. Right now, this title is one of the most popular horror-thriller games on the market.

Ever since Behavior Interactive launched "Dead by Daylight," it attracted a lot of players from PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, as well as the new PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.

But, most players access this horror game via their PCs. Now, it seems like "Dead by Daylight" will still be more popular as months go by.

'Dead by Daylight' Achieves 50 Million Players

According to The Loadout's latest report, "Dead by Daylight" announced that it was able to achieve more than 50 million players.

"Thank you to all our players, we hope to see you in the fog!" said Behavior Interactive via its official Twitter post.

The game developer even copied the popular "Spider-Man" meme to represent the millions of players. Because of its latest achievement, the game's Creative Director, David Richard, said that they will work on more original content to enhance your gaming experience.

But, Richard clarified that "Dead by Daylight" might not have a sequel. This means that they will put all their efforts to prove new in-game content in the current version of the horror title.

Is 'Dead by Daylight: Ringu' a Good Crossover?

Although "Ringu" is not actually the main reason why "Dead by Daylight" amassed a huge number of players, it still played an important role since thiscrossover is quite different from other titles.

"Dead by Daylight: Sadako Rising" offers a new killer that is in the guise of Sadako, the creepy woman from the popular Japanese horror film titled "Ringu."

Unlike other crossovers in the game, many critics said that the arrival of Sadako offers a different take on the popular horror title.

"They can expect Sadako to come with creepy and surprising gameplay mechanics that are not found in other Killers," said Richard via IGN.

The Behavior Interactive's creative director said that Sadako will even freak out many new players.

Since Richard said that there will be more original or unique content that players can expect in "Dead by Daylight," this means that more crossovers feature popular iconic horror films could be developed.
