"Fortnite" will be temporarily down at the moment to pave the way for the update 20.10.

According to a report by Express on Tuesday, April 5, the ongoing "Fortnite" downtime is expected to last for two hours.

During the server maintenance, players should note that they could not open the game as part of the regular protocol during this particular event.

Ahead of this announcement, Epic Games announced that the "Fortnite" matchmaking would be temporarily disabled for update 20.10.

"We're beginning to disable matchmaking in preparation for the v20.10 update, with server downtime beginning soon. We'll let you all know when downtime has ended!" Epic tweeted out that time.

For those who have already entered a match prior to 8:30 AM (in the UK), Express wrote that they can resume playing until the expected server maintenance at 9 AM BST UK Time.

At exactly 4 AM ET or 9 AM GMT, no player can now play "Fortnite." Your game progress will be halted as a result. The only thing that you can do at that hour is to wait until the maintenance is finished.
