'Elden Ring' Guide: How To Fight As The Legendary Player 'Let Me Solo Her'

How To Fight As 'Let Me Solo Her' In 'Elden Ring' Or At Least, How To Try To Be Like Him

Elden Ring had perhaps its first-ever player to earn legendary status: the so-called Jarnished, the fighter only known by the name "Let Me Solo Her." This absolute GigaChad of a player has earned a reputation for being a true badass for helping people get rid of Malenia - widely considered as the toughest FromSoft boss ever designed so far.

And he does so by doing what his name implies: destroying Malenia one on one in flawless fashion. Naturally, some people would want to know this legendary warrior's combat secrets. How does someone "git gud" that much? Well, this guide will try to describe how LMSH fights - as close as possible.

What Equipment Does 'Let Me Solo Her' Use?

Let's start with the legend's gear. In lieu of an age-old myth in Soulsborne games, LMSH equipped his Tarnished with no armor. That's because they always said that the naked warriors in FromSoft's games are the strongest and most fearsome.

As such, LMSH's Tarnished only wears a pot on his head, which doesn't do much for protection as he's way too good to get hit. The weaponry situation is the most interesting, as the character uses an Uchigatana +25 equipped with Hoarfrost Stomp in his right hand and a Rivers of Blood +9 in his left, writes Looper.

On the subject of talisman slots, try to invest points into maintaining your Tarnished's stamina. Two of his four slots have the Viridian Amber Medallion and the Green Turtle Talisman in them. The other two have the Claw Talisman for improved damage when jumping and Kindred of Rot's Exultation to deal more damage whenever the character is infected with Malenia's Scarlet Rot.

Leveling Up

Both of these katanas scale in Dexterity, which means that LMSH's runes were mostly spent on it, writes ScreenRant. Aside from that, it is also probable that Klein Tsuboi invested much of his points into Arcane to ensure that his Rivers of Blood katana would deal as much damage as possible.

User Klein Tsuboi recently admitted on Reddit that he is LMSH, and a new post shares more details about his character build. According to him, his character is at level 179 with no plans on leveling up "anytime soon."

Actual Combat Skills

LMSH's equipment is easy to get in Elden Ring. That's not the hardest part of your journey to learn how to fight as him. The hardest part is actually learning to play like him, skill-wise. That's because if you even want a chance to get to his skill level, you would need to practice an inordinate amount of times.

Here's a video of one of his most recent fights against Malenia, where he still manages to outduel her despite a Patch 1.04 bug which allows her to heal even without landing a hit:

As you can see in the video above, one of the most obvious things about LMSH's playstyle is the simplest: his patience. He never gets greedy with his attacks and always picks his spots. He maintains a safe distance where he could observe Malenia's attack animations so he could dodge them at the right time.

Furthermore, his dodging is just flat out impressive. He always seems to roll out of the way in a split second, and manages to dodge even Malenia's infamous Waterfowl Dance attack - an attack that so many players believe is impossible to dodge.

How To Fight Like 'Let Me Solo Her?' Git Gud

There's really no other way to say this: the only way to be as badass in Elden Ring as Let Me Solo Her is just "git gud." Practice, practice, practice. LMSH himself admitted that it took him 242 tries to beat Malenia the first time. If he managed to power through that, you can do it too.
