This Xbox Series X Was Customized To Look Like It Was Made Of Marble

Xbox Series X Gets Customized With A Sleek, Classy Marble-Looking Finish

If you own an Xbox Series X, chances are you're pretty proud that you have it. It was, after all, quite hard to get (more so at close to MSRP). As such, it is understandable that you'd want to personalize your console.

That's exactly what Reddit user Method did. And they did it in a pretty classy way: by making their Series X look like it was made of marble. To do so, they used a premade skin from the company DBrand, writes GameRant. The finished product looks very convincing, with a photo of it posted on the Xbox subreddit.

So far, the post has earned almost 2.1k likes and almost 100 comments at the time of this writing:

Upon seeing the custom Xbox Series X console, commenters on the post were particularly curious about how the top vinyl was applied in a seamless way. As you can see, the top of the console has these ventilation holes, which could be very tough to navigate if you're applying a sticker or vinyl on it.

Answering the query, Method clarified that it was actually easier than they thought it'd be. Aside from that, they also uploaded more photos of the custom Xbox Series X on Imgur, showcasing the immaculate application of the DBrand skin. Here's a quick look at the console's backside and the top ventilation holes:

As previously mentioned, the marble skin was from the company DBrand. They've been known for quite a while now for their excellent-looking vinyl skins, which can be applied to almost any electronic device imaginable. Their custom Xbox Series X skins, for instance, are billed for their precision considering how many vent holes are on top of Microsoft's console - a potential nightmare if you want to apply anything on it.

DBrand's Series X skins are also pretty cheap, ranging from $4.95 to $9.95 a panel. But the thing is, you have to buy vinyl panels for each side of the console (top, bottom, and four sides) to cover the entire thing. In total, that will set you back $57.65. But that's perhaps a good enough price to pay to customize your new console.

Other Options For Customizing Your Xbox Series X

If you think DBrand's skins are too expensive and too risky to put on your console (you might still mess up the application, after all), there are still other ways to personalize your gaming console fully.

This option here is for those who want to keep the actual console itself as it is: Xbox Design Lab. Microsoft's official customization service only covers the console's controllers, but the design options are quite good and will fit almost every taste. You can pick your controller's button styles, add optional finishes, grips, or engravings, and of course, pick the colors you want from a total of 19.

Once you've chosen your design, you can place your Design Lab order and get your custom controller at your door delivered within 28 days.
