New Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Trailer Shows Gameplay [VIDEO]

Trailer Offers a Small Taste of Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number Before PAX East

Obviously, not everybody will be able to go to PAX East this weekend, and with Hotline Miami developer Dennaton Games heading there, the company has released a new trailer to show off the sequel, Wrong Number, so everyone outside of Beantown can get a look at the game.

The story looks to be just as eerie and nonsensical as the first game (and that's what you can make heads or tails from), but if you look closely, you can spot a few new additions to gameplay: some new weapons like a chainsaw, dual wielding guns, a somersault type dash, and...is that co-op I'm seeing?

The trailer keeps the gritty feel with the old school VHS tracking, and an eerie track is a nice accompaniment to the surreal visuals at the trailer's opening. Then all hell breaks loose 30 seconds in, treating viewers to the the massive amounts of blood n' guts, offsetting the pixels from the NES glory days.

If you liked the first game, make sure you give this trailer a look-see below.

In the event you're fortunate enough to be going to PAX East, stop by booth #679 this weekend and give the game a play.

Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number is scheduled to release sometime this Spring for PC, PlayStation 4, and PS Vita.
