Rockstar Games, developer of the highly anticipated title GTA 6, has officially released the first trailer of the game. It was out earlier than expected because of a supposed leak, but whatever the case may be, fans can now watch the video and get hyped for what is to come!
Official Trailer Released
In a tweet that was posted yesterday, Rockstar Games announced that it would release the official trailer for GTA 6 on December 5 at 9 am EST. However, someone leaked the trailer early, which forced the company to broadcast it for the world to see hours before it was supposed to come out.

It seems that all of the action takes place in modern-day Vice City, where sin is omnipresent and crimes aplenty. Also shown in the trailer are short clips that look quite similar to the popular social media platform TikTok.
The trailer has also confirmed speculations that GTA 6 will have Grand Theft Auto's first-ever female protagonist in the franchise's history. This is likely part of Rockstar's shift to a more progressive company.
It also appears that the rumors about Jason and Lucia being the main playable characters of the game are true, as showcased in the latter parts of the reveal.
Anyway, GTA 6 won't be out until 2025, so players will have to wait a while longer for it to be released. But, the community can rest easy knowing that the highly anticipated next installment of the franchise is just a couple of years away.

Community Response
As expected, the reaction from fans and gaming companies alike is quite positive, with the latter poking fun at the cutesy poster Rockstar Games put out as part of the trailer announcement.
The official X/Twitter account of the game Among Us tweeted that they are thankful for all of the hard work that is put into the development of the game.
Another user said that the trailer is so beautiful, but then added that the community will have to wait a long time before it officially launches sometime in 2025.
Over on Reddit, Redditor @Windysails said that they're so hyped mainly because of how large and lively Vice City looks.
While some people may have loved that the trailer was released early, the leak that prompted Rockstar Games to do this was not appreciated at all. Redditor @pubgaxt said that all the leak did was ruin the fun for every GTA fan to get together for the official reveal. Another Redditor expressed the same sentiment as well.
Be that as it may, the Grand Theft Auto community now has something to look forward to. All that Rockstar Games has to do is release a few videos showcasing some actual gameplay footage to continue the hype before the game's official launch.
