Everything You Need to Know About 'Copper' in LEGO Fortnite

Crafting is an essential part of LEGO Fortnite. But, in order for you to craft stuff in the game, you need to gather resources. Although some are easy to obtain like Wood and Granite, there are those that require more attention.

Copper is one of the crafting materials that are a bit harder to get in the game. Fortunately, you can set things up so that gathering the said resource becomes much easier later down the line.

Where to Find Copper?

Copper is a resource that you need a bit later in the game. It can be found abundantly inside lava caves situated in the desert biomes in LEGO Fortnite. You can get some by mining the Copper Ores inside these caves, which are typically bunched up together in the elevated areas.

They are easy to distinguish because they look like golden rocks with a bit of green mold attached to them. However, because of the location, you will need some heat resistance to prevent you from taking damage while farming the said resource.

To get some heat resistance, you can go to your Juicer and make some Snowberry Shakes. Each shake requires a couple of Snow Berries and a carton of Milk, so be sure to have them ready before you head to the Juicer.

Alternatively, you can go to your Crafting Bench and craft a "Cool-Headed Charm" using three Silk Threads, 3 Sand Shells, and one Marble. You will need three of these to provide you with considerable protection against the heat.

To actually mine Copper, you need to craft a Rare (blue) pickaxe as well. The Pickaxe requires three Flexwood Rods and a few Sand Claws. Flexwood, the base material necessary for the Flexwood Rods, can be obtained from the Cacti in the desert biome.

Sand Claws, on the other hand, can be acquired by defeating Sand Wolves. These animals only come out at night, but be prepared, they are not your ordinary foes that you can beat easily.

When you have the pickaxe, just go near a Copper Ore and interact with it.

How to Use Copper

So, what is Copper actually used for? Well, it is the primary ingredient to craft the more advanced items in LEGO Fortnite, such as the Rare (blue) Longsword, Rare Shovel, Epic Forest Axe, and Epic Knight Shield.

Before you can do that, though, you need to transform the crude version of Copper into a more refined one called the "Copper Bar." To do this, construct the Metal Smelter from the "Utility" tab in the Village Menu. This building requires 15 Brightcores, 35 Obsidian Slabs, and three Blast Cores. Fortunately, these materials can be found in the desert biome as well.

Once you've put up the Metal Smelter, you now have the ability to turn regular Copper into Copper Bars. One Copper Bar requires a single piece of Copper and two Brightcores.

Copper is necessary whenever you reach the endgame in LEGO Fortnite. Now that you know where to farm the resource, are you going to gather some anytime soon?
