Released on April 17, 2019, Anno 1800 is developed and published by Ubisoft. It is a city-building game that puts you right smack in the middle of the Industrial Revolution. Your goal, essentially, is to build an empire in South America.

How you decide to build the city affects how it ends up to be. So it's important to figure out if you want to be more of an innovator or an exploiter. You'll also have to decide if you want to be a conqueror or liberator.

As the one who is taking the lead, you get to send out expenditions to different parts of the globe, put up huge metropolises, and dominate via trade, diplomacy, or even warfare.

The Importance of Trading

As you have probably learned in your history classes, trading is crucial to the success of the Industrial Revolution. In order to fill the needs of the citizens, you will need to establish trading routes. You also must ensure that these trading routes become profitable networks for you.

You will also need to deal with other rulers you will encounter in the world as well as establish production chains.

Here is the launch trailer for Anno 1800 to give you a better idea of what to expect.
