Open your phone dashboard in Honkai: Star Rail.
Click on the mail icon.
Look for the starred mail with the title "Subscription Reply from Dr. Ratio."
Inside, an automatic reply from the scholar awaits. Click the "Claim" button.
Check your Character list to ensure Dr. Ratio has joined your team.

How to Obtain Dr. Ratio's Ascension Materials

If you're still early in the game, worry not. HoYoverse has introduced the Temporary Access feature in the Interastral Guide, allowing players to grind for Dr. Ratio's ascension materials. Explore relevant sections like Stagnant Shadows to locate the "Temporary Access" option and collect the necessary materials for Dr. Ratio's ascension.

According to HoYo's official Twitter announcement, players can claim Dr. Ratio for free between January 16-17, 2024, depending on their timezone. This exclusive offer extends from the start of the Version 1.6 "Panta Rhei" Event Warp until the end of Version 2.1, with the exact end date yet to be announced.

Despite being available for free, Dr. Ratio's limited-time banner, Panta Rhei, allows players to pull for additional copies until the end of Honkai: Star Rail 2.1. After this period, Dr. Ratio will transition into a normal limited-time event character, following in the footsteps of Seele, Luocha, and Silver Wolf.
