Dead By Daylight's 'Lights Out' Modifier Sends Shivers Down Your Spine

Dead By Daylight introduces the “Lights Out” modifier, a time-limited event designed to elevate the fear factor in the already terrifying game. This new gameplay twist aims to keep players on the edge of their seats for a week, concluding on February 14.

Immersive Darkness and Gameplay Changes

Once immersed in Lights Out, players find themselves navigating a map shrouded in darkness, intensifying the horror experience. The limited UI adds an extra layer of challenge by restricting visibility and awareness of the environment. Notably, perks have been disabled, and perhaps most notably, the Killer operates without a Terror Radius.

You can watch the official trailer here:

The Lights Out event introduces a dynamic shift that not only complicates the Survivors' survival strategies but also alters the Killer's approach. Players now face increased difficulty in tracking Survivors, as the absence of scratch marks heightens the suspense.

While the game begins without starting items, the map is now scattered with additional chests, each containing higher-quality items to aid players in their struggle for survival.

How to Access

For those eager to embrace the intensified horror of the Lights Out event, accessing it is a straightforward process. Despite being a limited-time event, Lights Out does not replace the typical Dead by Daylight experience.

Instead, it can be accessed as a separate mode in the main menu, providing players with the option to dive into this chilling modification in addition to their regular Trials.
