'Call of Duty Advanced Warfare' News: GameStop Pre-Order Bonus Only Includes Poster & Personalization Pack [VIDEO]
No plans for the weekend? Now you have them. Mega retailer GameStop has announced its own set of bonuses for customers who pre-order Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on any platform, and it's all set to start this weekend, Saturday, May 24. Keep reading if you want to know the details.
Best be quick about it though. As overhyped as Call of Duty games are, they're still incredibly popular, and these posters will more than likely be going quick. The poster is the same promotional image (seen above) that came with the game's announcement on one side, and a close up look at the exo-suit on the other.
If that's not enough, GameStop also recently announced pre-order customers will also receive a personalization pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts, consisting of a weapon camo, sentinel task force patch, playercard, reticle, and player background. The video below shows off all the fancy schmancy.
Not too much is known about the game save for what we saw in the announcement trailer. The game takes place decades into the future in 2054, and Jonathan Irons (voiced by Kevin Spacey), CEO of Atlas, a monolithic private military corporation, has got it in his head that he can do a better job of running things than the nation's elected leaders. So, obviously, he begins a war against the government using his employees / guns for hire as his own personal army.
The futuristic setting promises for some very nifty new tech and gadgets, like light bending helicopters, strength boosting exosuits, gloves that let soldiers climb walls like Spider-Man, and no doubt much, much more.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set to launch worldwide on November 4 for PC, PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
