'Dragon Age Inquisition' Companions: Meet The Iron Bull, The Tal-Vashoth Mercenary Being Featured At E3 2014 [SCREENS]

'Dragon Age Inquisition' Companions Meet The Iron Bull, The Tal-Vashoth Mercenary

There are nine companions in Dragon Age: Inquisition, and EA is about to showcase each of them. Today focuses on The Iron Bull, a Tal-Vashoth Mercenary that's sure to be a tank in your party.

There's not much known about The Iron Bull just yet but the image shows that his size reflects his combat prowess. According to senior writer David Gaider, Iron Bull fears nothing except his own past. Expect to get deep into that over the course of the game. "What's the most pieces you've ever cut someone into in a single swing?" Iron Bull ruminates. "I'm up to three, but I have some ideas." I'm kinda stumped myself as to how he could, if you'll pardon the pun.

The Tal-Vashoth are Qunari who abandon the Aun. It's not specific to any race, and so there are Quanari dwarves, humans and elves. Many Qunari Tal-Vashoth cut off their hornes because they think it makes them look tougher, but the Iron Bull is clearly not concerned with such matters.

A Look At The Abandonded Fortress Of Adamant In Dragon Age Inquisition

Here's a look at the rest of the cast of characters. Quite the motley collection, as usual, and these nine will be  the only ones you see throughout the game- there will be none added via DLC, which is sure to make gamers happy. If you can't spot The Iron Bull among the group you should get your eyes checked. He lives up to his name.

It's going to be nice to see a deeper look into the characters at E3. EA has been steadily releasing gorgeous screenshots that showcase the locations, but they've all been devoid of life. Dragon Age: Origins' brilliance was in its character interaction and we hope to see that continue in Dragon Age Inquisition. It's always good to give Bioware the benefit of the doubt that this will be so.

More as we hear it- as for now, gaze upon this stunning trailer and be happy that you own next-gen systems.
