Gentlemen, start your engines. Nintendo is on the lookout for the best Mario Kart 8 players to take part in the first ever Nintendo Life UK Mario Kart 8 Tournament at this year's EGX in London from September 25 to 28.

All throughout August and early September Nintendo Life will be hosting a series of online races to find the 12 best Mario Kart 8 players, who will then be invited to attend the dedicated gaming expo to compete for the ultimate title. The winner will receive a copy of every first-party Wii U game that comes out for the next year, £100 of Nintendo eShop credit, and a number of other prizes.
"Those Nintendo fans who weren't able to enter the main tournament can head to the Nintendo Life stand at EGX London 2014 and take part in Mario Kart 8 mini tournaments to test their skills against the best racers. There will be on the spot prizes on offer, including Nintendo plushes, Nintendo Official UK Store vouchers, Nintendo eShop credit and mini trophies."

Fans attending EGX, formerly the Eurogamer Expo, can swing by the dedicated Nintendo booth for National Streetpass Day. Just bring your 3DS with you and look for your chance to participate in a variety of StreetPass related activities and win Nintendo prizes including Nintendo eShop credit ranging from £10-£100, toys and games from Nintendo.
