LittleBigPlanet 3 Gamescom Trailer Is Like A Slice Of Sunshine And Happiness

Sony launched their Gamescom press conference in the best, most happy way possible: LittleBigPlanet 3!

Metal Gear Solid V Tweets Tease An Epic Gamescom Presentation

In a world overrun with space marines, dark, grim and gritty shooters, the success of Sony's platform building game LittleBigPlanet is a bit of anomaly. It's a happy game. The main character is an anthropomorphic burlap sack called Sackboy, for crying out loud.

The game was announced back at E3. The new trailer highlights some of the newest additions to the game, including the new characters to play alongside Sackboy. Each comes with their own different skill set. There's the dog character Oddsock who can run fast, Swoop the bird who can soar over obstacles and Big Toggle who can, quite literally, toggle pressure plates. You can also dress him up like a Yeti, or anything else you want to!

Oh Snap, Rise Of The Tomb Raider Is Only Coming To Xbox One

Players can customize the basic characters, adding such things as 'fire breathing'! The level design, which is the most enduring part of any game has been streamlined a little bit to work natively with the PS4 controller and allows you to add or subtract items with just a touch on the control pad.

The only thing holding you back is your imagination! Of course you can share your creations with the rest of the world, and get feedback and ever ubiquitous 'Likes'.

Unlike the previous iterations, LittleBigPlanet will give you access to 16 different planes of creation, allowing you to think deep in creating levels.

Feeling a little down today? Watch the full gamescom trailer below. I will guarantee you'll be smiling by the end of it!

LittleBigPlanet 3 will hit PS4 in November.
