A 12-minute singleplayer demo trailer for Battlefield Hardline has been released by Visceral Games, walking you through what to expect from less-emphasized portion of the upcoming shooter.

New The Walking Dead Title From Overkill Announced, Watch Trailer Here

The focus of Battlefield Hardline has mostly been on its cops and robbers-style multiplayer so far, which makes the below trailer useful to those interested in the title. The campaign in other Battlefield titles and the Call of Duty games usually take a back seat to the extremely popular multiplayer as well--the video is aiming to demonstrate why you Battlefield Hardline's is worth your time.

Narrated by Visceral Creative Director Ian Milham, the video (which is entirely in-game footage) takes you through some full levels, which seem to offer a variety of gameplay elements. It's a departure from the usual squad-based military missions, and focuses more on some stealth and solo actions--somewhat reminiscent of Far Cry 3, with a different setting.

According to Visceral, the demo is "the first look at Hardline's new style and take on storytelling." It is apparently "inspired by the most popular crime drama's on TV" amd promises to "deliver more choice and depth throughout the campaign."

Graphically, the game is very impressive. The character models and lighting look top notch, and it reminds you what we can look forward to as the new generation of console hardware is prioritized by developers with big budgets. Visceral also revealed two new multiplayer modes, Hotwire and Resuce:

"Hotwire, driving skills and teamwork are key to victory as cops attempt to stop criminals from stealing marked cars. Rescue is a competitive mode that puts players in the boots of SWAT operatives tasked with saving hostages from dangerous criminals. Players will need to be precise in Rescue because there are no second chances."

You can watch a video of Rescue here, and be sure to check out the singleplayer footage below. Battlefield Hardline was recently pushed back, and is now due for release in March 2015.
