Apple iPhone 6 Reveal Liveblog: Updates From The Event With Details And Specs For Apple's Announcement

Apple's big media event is finally under way, and the reveal of two new iPhone 6 models followed shortly after the start of the event. You can watch the live stream on Apple's site, as long as you're on an Apple device.

Consumers will have the option to decide between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, 4.7-inch and 5.5-inch models. These confirm the various rumors reported leading up to the event about two models and their respective sizes.

The iPhone 6 Plus will cost $399, one hudred dollars more than the $299 iPhone 6. Both models will ship on September 19, and you can preorder it on September 12.

The iPhone 6 is thinner than the 5, with both models sporting HD Retina displays. iPhone 6 has a resolution of 1334 by 750, with 326 pixels per inch for a 720p Retina HD display, while the iPhone 6 Plus has a 1080p, 1920 by 1080 display.

Apple claims equal battery life for the iPhone 6 when using LTE compared to the iPhone 5, which will no doubt disappoint some users. The iPhone 5s battery life is an area of contention, with Apple even recently offering replacements for faultly batteries.

The phone will support VoLTE as well, the high-definition calling service being rolled out by providers. Both iPhone 6 models boast an 8MP camera, with an all new sensor. Here's a photo taken with the new camera:
