Stronghold Crusader II is out in two weeks on September 23, but that has not stopped it from going gold!

To mark the occasion, developer Firefly Studios has released a new trailer highlighting the most notorious antagonist in the Stronghold series: The Wolf. You know you're a badass when you get a nickname like that. There are no weaklings who are called The Wolf. The Germanic AI opponent does not forget and he does not forgive.

If you ally with him, The Wolf would rather "tear down your castle with a spoon than offer you assistance." Why a spoon? Because it's dull, you twit. It will hurt more!

Smite MOBA Gets A Brand New UI

'"Stronghold is known for its tendency to test players' mental dexterity, and with the resurgence of these kinds of games it makes perfect sense to include The Wolf," the developer said in a new blog post. "We want this addition to the cast of AI characters to reinforce our message that Crusader 2 retains the series' sense of challenge. When you are victorious against The Wolf, or any character for that matter, it should feel like an absolute triumph.'"

Speed is key in defeating The Wolf, the Youtube video states. The AI will turtle itself and hide behind his high walls and amass just an obscene amount of heavily armored troops. The dev outlines some strategies you really should consider employing if you find yourself unlucky enough to be staring down The Wolf. Assassins, horse archers and failing an early strike, get your siege equipment up as soon as humanly possible.

Stronghold Crusader II hits Steam in two weeks. You can pre-order it via Steam for a 10% discount, and get two exclusive mini-games 'Justice' and 'Freedom Fighters' and 10 In-game shields.
