Saints Row Gat Out Of Hell News: Import Of Your Save Games And Boss Confirmed, Re-Elected Bundle Details
Johnny Gatt and Kinzie Kensington were already taking it to the realm of Lucifer in Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell, as we knew. Volition told us there would be no character customization option, but fear not, dear Boss aficionados - your creations will enter the game another way.
A save-game/character import function! The feature that's been a staple of big RPGs like Mass Effect, Dragon Age and The Witcher for years has now come to the stand-alone expansion to the purple-clad gang's fourth sandbox game.
Said Volition on their Tumblr: "If you beat the opening mission [of Saints Row IV], go through initial Character Creation, and then create a save while in the White House mission and quit the game then your save file will work for importation into [Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell]."
Who is this information for? "If you have an SRIV save file for that system, it will import it. This applies to Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, PS4, and PC." In the words of Gary Oldman in Léon, evvverrrryone!
Tiny drawback: you won't be able to select which save file. "You will not be able to select a specific save file. The most recent save of any kind (either Autosave or a manual save) will be automatically pulled."
If you don't import any saves, the Boss in Gat Out Of Hell will default to the white male Boss as seen in the announce trailer.
Saints Row: Gat Out Of Hell will see release to all aforementioned platforms on January 27, as well as the Saints Row: Re-Elected pack which includes IV, Hell and all the DLC.
