Imagine a world with an endless number of dungeons, but nobody to crawl through them. Fortunately, such a world does not exist thanks to indie developer Almost Human Ltd, who brought the dungeon crawler genre back from the brink with Legend of Grimrock. The company has been hard at work on a sequel, the aptly named Legend of Grimrock II and today have released a new pre-order trailer.

Legend of Grimrock II launches on Steam on October 15. The game will hopefully take all the best aspects of the previous title, the puzzles, riddles, grid system and Old School mode (which deactivated the dungeon map, forcing players to remember their route) and improve on them and others. Combat was not the most refreshing part of the first game.
The first-person role playing game takes a breath of fresh air as the new installment presents - in addition to dungeons, mines and tombs - more open-ended outdoor environments as well as enhanced and more varied gameplay mechanics, levels and content.

"We're thrilled that we finally get to show all of the Legend of Grimrock fans that the long wait for the sequel has been worth it." says Antti Tiihonen, Almost Human about the new trailer, which showcases the secluded Isle of Nex. Here, a group of four prisoners are shipwrecked and have to crawl their way through a dungeon to escape.
Per the release, "The game contains more than 20 hours of pure blooded dungeon crawling gameplay with grid-based movement and thousands of squares filled with hidden switches, pressure plates, secret doors, riddles, deadly traps and more. Powers of perception and logic are more important for the player than sheer force is, since Legend of Grimrock II puts a heavy emphasis on exploration, survival and challenging puzzles."
Players can pre-order Legend of Grimrock II on the official site for a 15% discount off the regular price of $23.99. You will receive a Steam access key and an installer, which will have the game nice and ready for you when you get home from work on October 15.
