Borderlands The Pre Sequel Trailer Hilariously Introduces You To The New Content, Characters, And Weapons Found On The Moon

Gaze Into The Abyss With The Latest, And Funniest, Trailer For Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!

We are a little less than a month away from the release of Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel!, the middle chapter of the BL trilogy which will explain just what the hell happened on Pandora's moon in between the first and second game. There has been a lot of BTS videos from 2K, and today they've released a 10 minute short that looks at a lot of the new features coming in the game.

"But Steve, 10 minutes? That's an awfully long video for me to watch." you say, and you would be right. Except that this is the Borderlands crew we're talking about, and say what you will about the games themselves, they do not lack for character. Narrated by gentleman archeologist Sir Hammerlock and the overly excited Mister Torgue, you will no doubt be amusemed as they go in depth with the characters, monsters, items and more as you double-jump your way across Elpis (that's the moon).

You want new weapons? How about a SHOT GUN LASER? You're welcome. Rail guns? Done. The previously outlined cryo weapons that allow you to shatter your enemies like the T-1000 in Terminator 2? You know they got it. Plus, the lower gravity on Elpis will allow for long distance jumping, double jumping and "gravity slams", or "butt slams", giving you another weapon in your perilously long list of weapons. According to the video, Pandora had 87 bazllion guns; Elpis has even more. The only figure the video gives is 'EXCESSIVE DOOM'.

Rogue Class Outlined For Dragon Age: Inquisition

The duo also takes a look at the four playable characters: Wilhelm, Nisha (both of whom turn heel in Borderlands 2), Athena the gladiator and everyone's favorite dubstepping bot, Claptrap. They each have their own specialties. Athena has a shield she can toss like Captain America. Wilhelm has cybernetic enhancements as well as two robots that can help him out. Nisha can use her rage to unleash deadly accuracy and a laser whip, and Claptrap, well, he can mimic whoever he needs to. He can even make the party jump.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! pits the terrible foursome, overseen by a not yet handsome Jack as you attempt to repel the Lost Legion, a highly powerful military force, from destroying Elpis. But what exactly happens to Wilhelm, Nisha and Jack? As Torgue would say, MORAL AMBIGUITY!

There's a lot emphasized in the trailer; new space vehicles, enemies (they have medics now), locations, familiar faces (why is Moxxi on the moon? REASONS.) and user interfaces. Watch the whole ten minute trailer below, you'll be glad you did.

Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel comes out on October 14 for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
