A trailer for upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within titled "The World Within" was posted today on Bethesda's YouTube page, and it shows off just how much you're probably going to die while playing this game.
Meet The Powerful Agony Crossbow In The Previous Evil Within Trailer
As the game's advertising is fond of pointing out, everything can kill you in The Evil Within. When you're not surrounded by murderous enemies with gas-powered weapons, you're gingerly navigating through a maze of tripwires that could each send a wall of spikes flying in your direction. When you successfully clear the trap rooms, a room full of fresh baddies waiting to examine your innards awaits you on the other side. Sometimes you're left in a room with both ruthless monsters and deadly traps. Those aren't the best times.
After the series of gruesome deaths, the real star of the trailer is Ruvik, the mysterious antagonist that lies in the center of the whole game. Chilling voiced by Jackie Earle Haley – known for his portrayals of Freddy Krueger and Watchmen's Rorschach – Ruvik has kind of a Slender vibe to him as he teleports around the player's line of sight, sometimes getting up close and personal with the player but never seeming to lay a hand on them himself.

When you live in a house overflowing with chainsaw-wielding giants, no one can blame you for wanting to keep your own hands clean and outsourcing the attacking to a third party.
The trailer also briefly gives advice for how players can avoid the ever-increasing specter of death in The Evil Within. Stealth is often the best option, and distracting opponents with thrown objects can be a very effective tool.
