While that sounds like a fanboy's dream for traversing an open-world Zelda game, it's actually a real thing happening in Mario Kart 8. The famous character will be added in the game's first post-launch DLC pack next month, and Nintendo today announced on Twitter that the Master Cycle seen in the image above will be accompanying him.

The picture is only concept art, but it gives you a pretty good idea of what the vehicle will look like in Mario Kart 8. Did you happen to notice it's shaped like a horse? That fact opened up the possibility for Nintendo to make a horse-power pun, which it took full advantage of in the announcement tweet. The DLC will hit sometime next month, and is certainly better than the Mercedes car, right?

Minecraft For PS Vita Released In PlayStation Store Update

As out-of-place as a Link motorcycle sounds at first, it strangely comes together in the way only some Nintendo products can. In the same manner that Sonic, Megaman, Pikachu, and Samus all come together in Super Smash Bros unquestioned, Link now has a cool-looking motorcycle. In fact, I don't think it's that much of a stretch to imagine a more steam-punk style Zelda title that includes the motorcycle as a mode of transportation. Okay--maybe now it's me who's dreaming.
