Halo Fest 2014 Date Announced: Get A Live Look At The Halo 5 Multiplayer Beta, Nightfall's First Episode, And More
HaloFest 2014 will allow fans to join 343 Industries and Microsoft via livestream for a special Halo event on the eve of The Master Chief Collection's release.
The Avalon Theater in Los Angeles will play host to this year's festival, which will celebrate Master Chief and the upcoming collection of the franchise's main titles. Tune in at 8 p.m. Pacific on Twitch, Xbox Live, or Xbox.com on November 10 for a first look at the Halo 5: Guardians beta, a live screening of Halo: Nightfall's first episode, and interviews with the 343 developers.
Both Halo: Nightfall and The Master Chief Collection launch the next day, November 11, with the former available on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and the latter on Microsoft's new console only. Halo: Nightfall is a live action webseries from executive producer Ridley Scott, which--it's fair to say--raises the level of expectations at least some degree. A new trailer for the series can be viewed below.
HaloFest will show off Halo 5's multiplayer beta, which will launch this December (access is gained through The Master Chief Collection). eSports pros will compete in an exhibition match for the first live look at the game's multiplayer.
Additionally, before HaloFest, an ESL Halo 2 Anniversary tournament will be held for $50,000 in prizes. It will take place November 8 and 9, and will feature 32 of the competitive scene's biggest names.
