The late James Hellwig, better known to the world as the Ultimate Warrior, will be coming to WWE 2K15.

The news was confirmed last Friday via a tweet from the Warrior's 'official account'. The confirmation comes after the latest commercial, which briefly showed the iconic wrestler putting the slam down on an unwary opponent. Scroll to the :55 mark.
Hellwig, who donned the mask and tassels for a decade back in the glory days of the WWF, died earlier this year at the age of 54. He died just three days after being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, and the day after his first appearance on Raw in 18 years. Some might say he had one last thing to do before he left.

Even if you've been far removed from the wrestling scene, people my age no doubt remember the crazed looking, tenacious wrestler from the early 90s. He was great fun to watch. Over the course of his career, the Ultimate Warrior won both the Intercontinental and Heavyweight belt at at one point, even held both simultaneously. He is the only wrestler to have achieved the feat.

We hope 2K releases some official screens of the man. After his death, Hellwig and the Warrior were honored across the wrestling community. His inclusion in 2K15 is a welcome honor.
