Telltale's Tales From The Borderlands Episode 1 Premiere: Live Gameplay Demo At Alamo Drafthouse, Streams On Twitch November 24

Telltale Will Be Live Streaming The First Episode Of Tales From The Borderlands One Week From Now

After plenty of patient waiting, gameplay from Tales from the Borderlands is finally peaking out from behind the development curtain for its public premiere. On November 24, the first episode of the game will be played live in Richardson, Texas, while simultaneously being streamed out over Twitch.

The first chapter, titled "Zer0 Sum," will be played live at the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema (editor's note- also known as the happiest place on Earth). With the game's developer's behind the controls, they'll be looking to the live audience to help them decide which decisions to make in the choice-based narrative gameplay. Plenty of giveaways are also planned for the live event, with Telltale promising that no fan at the live showing will leave without a memento.

For the rest of us who can't be in Texas next week, Nerdist will helpfully stream the whole event over Twitch. The premiere starts at 8 p.m. local time (9 p.m. Eastern, 6 p.m. Pacific) and will last about two hours.

Mod And Steam Workshop Support Have Been Confirmed For The Mac Port Of Civilization: Beyond Earth

With this event happening on a Monday, a November 25 release date would not be out of the question, especially when you consider that next Tuesday is when Steam's pre-order discount expires. Nothing seems to be confirmed yet, but you could do worse than to look out for a digital release on November 25.

Coming from the same studio that developed The Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us, Tales from the Borderlands will be a five-episode series that focuses on two non-Vault Hunter characters in the Borderlands universe: the wannabe corporate leader Rhys and the con artist Fiona. A far cry away from the series' traditional shooter gameplay, the player's main interaction with this game will be through narrative choices and dialog trees. The game takes place after the events of Borderlands 2 and, thanks to Telltale's work with Gearbox, will be an official part of Borderlands canon.

Tales from the Borderlands will release for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, Xbox One and Xbox 360.
