From now until December 11, Skylanders fans can tweet photos and videos of themselves playing Trap Team on tablet to the Skylanders Twitter page using the hashtags #TrapAndPlaySweeps and #Skylanders. After sending in their entry, they'll get a chance to win from a collection of prizes.

Skylanders Trap Team is available on iOS, Android and Amazon tablets, making sure fans can enjoy the newest game no matter what kind of platforms they own. A tablet starter kit for the game that contains basic monster figures, a couple of traps, a portal and even a special controller can even be found in Apple's retail channels.

"The arrival of Skylanders Trap Team in Apple retail stores nationwide and the Apple Online Store marks a momentous milestone for the Skylanders franchise," said Josh Taub, senior vice president of Product Management at Activision, in a release. "We're thrilled that anyone who gets a new iPad this holiday season will have the ability to experience the magic of the complete Skylandersgame whenever, wherever they want."

Skylanders Trap Team's big change that it introduced into the franchise was traps. Traps allow players to capture villains, keep them in crystals that you can see in the real world, then unleash them back into the game to fight on your side. In true Skylanders fashion, the game also supports all 175-plus existing Skylanders figures.

In addition to the tablet versions, Skylanders Trap Team is available on Wii, Wii U, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. A slightly different version is available on 3DS.
