Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Reveals New "Face Off" Gameplay, Limited Bundle Pack

The newest gameplay trailer video for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 was revealed with a new Face Off mode.  The "Face-Off" mode is a one-on-one or two-on-two death match built for intimate combat.

The game features three multiplayer maps with two special ops maps, and a new competitive mode which has been called Face Off.

"Face Off will set players in smaller, close-quarters maps to, uh, face off in intimate 1v1 or 2v2 matchups. You won't have a team to fall back on (other than your partner), but you won't have a team to blame if you're losing, either. It'll all be on you," writes Escapist Magazine.

The new mode, "Face Off" comes with new maps called Erosion, Aground, Getaway, and Lookout. The first two maps Erosion, Aground will be available for free on Xbox Live on May 16 and the next two will only be available for the Call of Duty, Elite subscribers or as part of Modern Warfare 3's Content Collection 2.

"You don't spend your time running around the map looking for each other. You actually engage pretty quickly. You actually can still have the frantic fun gameplay we're used to with Call of Duty, but with one or two guys," said Mark Rubin, Executive Producer, Infinity Ward and as reported in G4TV.

Call of Duty Modern warfare 3 comes with three multiplayer maps: Foundation, Sanctuary and Oasis.  In the game, two new spec-missions have also been included with maps Ironclad and Kill Switch.

Ironclad is set after Hamburg mission from the single player campaign with two players and features asynchronous combat, with one player clearing obstacles while the other engaging in basic infantry combat. Players going on the Killswitch mission will play in an all-new battlefield set in a Russian dockyard.

Game company Activision and Sony plans to team up to present a new Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle pack for the PlayStation 3.  The companies are announcing a Limited Edition PS3 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 bundle.  The $299 bundle includes a 320 GB PlayStation 3 slim, a dual shock controller, and of course a copy of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 game.

Activision has also announced that the new multiplayer mode for the second downloadable collection will be launched for Xbox Live on May 22 and its free update launch on May 16.
