The mobile app Draw Something, created by OMGPOP, has truly proven to be very successful in a short amount of time. With 50 million downloads in just 50 days, and 3,000 drawings being produced per second, it later became a winner of the 2012 Flurry App Spotlight Awards. For those who have downloaded this application, let's admit: it's clearly addictive.
Draw Something allows a lot of room for creativity, but for the artists out there, or just those who like being thorough, there never seemed to be enough room to fully capture the essence of the drawing. There is only so much one can do, drawing with a single finger, because when a drawing calls for intricacy-you just won't get it.
Doron Fetman and Dan Weinstein believe there is solution.
Doron Fetman is the Managing Director of The Draw Thing and collaborated with Dan Weinstein, Nextrendz's Creative Director, to create a different kind of stylus that not only adults could use, but was kid-friendly, as well.
Many users have decided to invest in a stylus pen, which not only assists in touch screen navigation (giving your finger a break) but allowing them to better manipulate a specific drawing, providing even more detail. However, stylus pens can be pricy and when you bring kids into the equation of such a popular drawing game, The Draw Thing proves that their best interests should be looked out for too.
The Draw Thing is a stylus pen with a more creative twist.
"It's fairly new," Fetman told GameNGuide. "[We] just came up with the concept a month ago."
It goes hand-in-hand with the popular game and is a replica of the chubby, yellow pencil that acts as the Draw Something logo, but has a yellow rubber sleeve that can be interchanged with different colors, patterns or characters. Fetman said that this feature will encourage people to start collecting and trading.

"It's what people should be using," Fetman said. "[It's] simpler, more affordable, [and] if you're a real game enthusiast, you'd want to have it."
