Diablo 3 Fixes Servers, Players May Re-Enter Hell

The long anticipated Diablo 3 was finally launched after a twelve year wait. However, even as gamers login to play the game, they are experiencing error messages indicating that the server is full which due to high volumes of login traffic.

"We're currently performing urgent maintenance in North America to resolve a variety of issues affecting the game. As a result of this maintenance, though, we anticipate that players will experience some interruption in communication, ability to log in, use of in-game features (like creating or joining games), and disconnections. This error may be a direct symptom of the ongoing maintenance," as posted in Blizzard forums.

Within twenty four hours of its launch, the developers at Blizzard had to take Battle.net offline as the server was not able to meet the demand of players. With gamers receiving error messages, the dilemma became a trending topic on twitter with complaints from fans.

"Forget #error 37, I've graduated to #Error3006 when creating a character... Oh wait, now I have to get past #error37 again!!! @BlizzardCS," a gamer tweeted.

Developers are also looking into issues of gamers having difficulty creating characters.  The concerns are expected to be resolved over the next 48 hours as they improve their infrastructure and look into the problems.

"While most of the character creation issues have been resolved, it's possible that if you attempted to create characters previously and did not log out, you may have actually maxed out your character list with "invisible" characters. If you are still receiving an error creating new characters, log out and log back in and then check your character list," the Blizzard Forums posted.

Diablo 3 became one of the most pre ordered games of all times ahead of its launch.  Even with glitches in the server, the game may still be able to satisfy its sale expectation.  Blizzard hope their fans will look beyond the difficulties once the game is up and running.
