On May 20, Nintendo will release a brand new color to the 3DS line-Midnight Purple. It will join the four existing colors, Aqua Blue, Flame Red, Cosmo Black, and Pearl Pink. The Nintendo 3DS is acclaimed for its ability to allow users gameplay in 3D, without the use of 3D glasses.
According to a news release, Nintendo made a statement saying, "Now fans have another option to customize the look of their systems to suit their individual styles and personalities."
Unfortunately for the company, Nintendo has faced a huge financial loss due to low sales for the 3DS system and Wii console. For the first time in 30 years, they are suffering a net loss of $533 million.
"Mario Tennis Open" will be released on the same day of the Midnight Purple launch, so that not only adds to the anticipation on Sunday for gamers, but high hopes for the company as well.
