American Horror Story Creator New Project: Fox Picks Up Scream Queens From Ryan Murphy For Fall 2015, Stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Emma Roberts

Original Scream Queen To Headline New Fox Show

Big news for fans of American Horror Story and/or classic horror. The first two leading ladies of Ryan Murphy's newest endeavor, Scream Queens, have been cast The Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Lost Page Connects Briarcliff with Freakshow

The new show will be on Fox and star Emma Roberts and Jamie Lee Curtis as front runners. Emma Roberts was most recently featured on the current season of American Horror Story: Freakshow where she plays a con artist who has recently had a change of heart.

Jamie Lee Curtis on the other hand is old guard when it comes to horror and is actually one of the first scream queens. A very young Curtis stared in Halloween where the unstoppable, butcher knife wielding Michael Myers chased but ultimately failed to kill her. Her addition to the cast as a real life scream queen is very meta.

The Walking Dead Spinoff Casts Male Lead

The new show will be an anthology series, much like the earlier seasons of AHS. Season one will be set on a college campus that some sort of killer has declared hunting ground. The new show will run for 15 hour-long episodes. Future seasons, if renewed, will be in other locations.

Although not explicitly listed as a spinoff, it's hard not to see it as such considering the massive similarities to AHS. The new show is listed as a horror comedy but arguably, for all of its murder, AHS could at times be classified the same way. The new show will be on Fox instead of FX so it's highly likely that it won't be nearly as brutal. No blood baths on that show. Probably.

Scream Queens will air on Fox during the Fall 2015 season. In the meantime you can catch the current season of AHS on FX.
