Game of Thrones Season 5 Filming Has Wrapped, Trailers Should Be Coming Soon

Brace Yourself, Trailers Are Coming For Game of Thrones Season 5

Filming for season five of Game of Thrones appears to have wrapped, with the final actors departing the set and the first trailers hopefully nearly ready for a debut.

Filming of the final scenes, which was done in Ireland last week, have come to a close. Kerry Ingram, who plays the tiny but tough Shireen Baratheon, won the honor of being the last actress on set. She posted on Twitter that show was a wrap for the season, reports International Business Times.

Shireen Baratheon, for the uninitiated, is the daughter of Stannis Baratheon, one of the major players with a claim to the Iron Throne. Shireen has a distinctive look: half of her face is covered by Grayscale, a childhood illness that is nearly always fatal. This is mainly why she spent so much time alone, the poor girl. Last we saw her, she was with her dad at Castle Black.

With filiming officially wrapped, we should begin to expect the first trailer sometime soon. The last we saw any footage was the 10 second teaser featuring Arya. Some sneak peaks, teasers, or full-blown trailers are likely to release in the coming months as we head toward the April start date.

For last season, which followed a similar time line, the trailers for the season began to be released in January. If this holds true, we'll start seeing new footage next month.

Season five of Game of Thrones is due to be released on April 5, 2015. Until then, enjoy the ten second teaser trailer.
