Where Are They Now? The Missing Six from e3 2011

The second week of June will be magical this time of year, mainly because all the bells and whistles at e3 will explode in our faces. The latest news about whatever number Microsoft's Xbox is spinning at or the Playsation 4 will make our minds freeze over in a perpetiual frozen bliss that could only be undone by the realistic expectations of cost and wait.

But like every year, there are great games that get announced and then we never hear from them away. Metal Gear: Rising was announced in 2009, nearly canceled and then resurrected as Metal Gear: Revengance last year. Prey 2 was going to be Bethesda Softworks' leap into space last March and now it lingers as not canceled, but definitely not making the planned 2012 release date.

We look at six of these titles previewed last year at e3 and how they've all been thrown far, far into the mysterious future of Quarter 1 2013 (otherwise known as "January and February").
