The newest film surrounding subterranean terror will see the return of Burt Gummer (Michael Gross) who has been in all but one of the films. The news was leaked on the actor's Facebook Page in a status that stated, "You heard it here first: T5 will be released in October 2015, months earlier than expected."

Thanks for letting us all know, Gross!

The Strain Is Making Some Casting Changes For Second Season

This film marks number five in the franchise that started in 1990 with Kevin Bacon in the lead role as Valentine Mckee. Bacon has never made a return to the series but the story has gained a cult following.

Tremors at its heart is a monster movie. There are creatures that live underground called 'graboids' (very creative, that name) who basically eat people. As they travel, they cause tremors and splits which allow them to reach up and snatch town folks left and right.

The first movie, which was perhaps the most serious, was still a sort of horror comedy in many ways.

The new film follows much of the same formula as Burt Gummer faces off against the graboids once again this time with techie Travis (Jamie Kennedy) in tow. Also, a nice change of location, they'll be battling against the underground dangers in South Africa.

Tremors 5 will be released in October of 2015. Check out the trailer for the original below.
