GOG.com and Double Fine Productions have announced today that Grim Fandango Remastered is currently available for pre-order, and as per usual for the service it will come with goodies.

Tim Schafer Discusses Grim Fandango Remastered (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

For your $14.99 not only will you get the completely updated and remastered Lucasarts adventure game, but HD wallpapers. That may not sound too exciting but if you've played the game you know how incredible the art style is, a beautiful mashup of Dia De Los Muertos sugar skulls and art deco.

This is of course for the Windows, Mac, and Linux versions, although it will also be available for PS Vita and PS4, where it will offer a dynamic theme as a pre-order bonus. Grim Fandango Remastered will launch for all platforms on January 27.

A Grim Fandango Sequel To Have An Open Sandbox World?

Not only will this game work wonderfully with your fancy new systems, it boasts a number of new improvements, including spiffied-up HD graphics, a new re-recorded orchestral soundtrack, a developer's commentary and new control systems.

Even as a complete Grim Fandango fanboy (It's up there on my list of the best games of all time) I still hated the clunky controls, so I can't wait to get my hands on the new types of controls they offer. Fear not though, the original tank controls will still be offered.

Let Tim Schafer tell you why that's the case in the video below, and pre-order it on GOG.com.
