American Horror Story Season 5 News And Rumors: A Spacey Theory For Next Season Has Been Debunked

American Horror Story Won’t Be Seeing Stars In New Season, Confirms Actress

Fans are full of speculation about what the next season of American Horror Story will be like. There have been a few strong contenders for the crown of season five but one theory has been debunked by an AHS star.

Sarah Paulson, the actress who plays Bette and Dot in the current season, Freak Show, has totally destroyed the idea that the next season will be set in space during an interview with Elvis Duran the Z100 Morning Show.

The theory is based on the names of the current town and main character Elsa Mars. There were a few references to space and given that Ryan Murphy said that he dropped hints early on, this could be a sign that the next season was going to the stars.

But it was all for naught. Well, you could still look at it as a hint that Elsa was going to make it to Hollywood in Freak Show. That's still a thing. As for next season, it doesn't stack up.

"[But] I can almost say with great confidence that I have not heard that [Space theme] from the people who actually know things," Paulson said.

So although a space themed American Horror Story would be something that holds a lot of potential (space madness!) it's not meant to be, at least not for season five.

According to recent interviews however, the next season will be something that fans haven't seen before. We'll just have to wait to see what American urban legend Murphy has taped into for the coming season.

The season finale for American Horror Story: Freak Show premieres tonight at 10 p.m. on FX.
