Humble Indie Bundle Makes Over $5 Million in Two Weeks

The Humble Indie Bundle package has ended on a high note for it's fifth year in a row. Taking in $5,106,718 over two weeks with 598, 974 bundles purchased, the Bundle once again proved that if you bring good games you'll get good prices. But that's on the surface, since there was the minor drama of who could spend more money to help the two charities associated with the Bundle, Child's Play and American Red Cross, along with the indie community.

Notch, the developer of Minecraft, wound up pledging over $12,000. But then, seemingly from out of no where, came the Humble Brony Bundle. The collective of Bronies, or folks who are fans of the relaunched My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic show, had a simple goal: " A way for bronies to come together and create a fund to buy one big copy of the Humble Indie Bundle. By pooling our resources we can support charities, indie gaming, and show how generous bronies are!"

Yes, the Bronies emerged to remind us they're still a thing and even endorsed by Andrew W.K.

Still, it's better to acknowledge that so many could come together and pledge what they could for a number of developers. Though it seems like the Linux users are statistically on average about paying more for their content. Now we'll just have to wait until next May for the return of Humble Indie Bundle.
