World Of Warships Closed Beta Starts This Weekend, Wargaming Releases Another Stunning Trailer

Wargaming's next military sim, World of Warships, is hosting another closed beta this weekend for all potential commanders.

WWE 2K15 NXT ArRIVAL DLC... Arrives On All Platforms

The beta begins on March 12. "Applications open for Europe at 11:00 CET, North America at 11:00 PST, and Asia at 17:00 SGT. During the test, players will dive into online naval battles, sharing their feedback with the development team to improve the experience. The previous two betas were resounding successes - on average, players engaged in roughly 60 games over the four-day tests on each occasion.

Needless to say, Wargaming might have another hit on its hands with the rock-paper-scissors naval sim.

The new beta will give players access to five new maps and 50 ships from both the American and Imperial Japanese navies. More than enough to wreak havoc across the seven seas, or at the very least the archipelagos that made up the bulk of the Pacific campaign during World War II.

Ships are divided into four classes: aircraft carriers - the command ships that can reign death from above with their cadre of nimble planes; battleships - made for frontline assault; cruisers - the all around ship for balanced play and the maneuverable, but vulnerable destroyers that can take down a ship all by itself, but at the cost of defense.

Players can upgrade their ship crew - as in World of Tanks - which can increase resistances, reload times and the like. In addition to upgrades, Modernizations allow players to develop a ship's combat capability. There are numerous Modernizations available, such as increasing a weapon's durability or ship's resilience to fire and flooding.

Interested parties can head over to the official site HERE for their chance to sign up for the beta.
