Metro Redux--4A Games and Deep Silver's current generation remake of two last generation titles--is now available on Mac.

Destiny Update 1.1.2 Adds Increased Vault Space, Item Lock, Raid Bug Fixes, And Much More

The game launched last year for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, and has finally arrived on Mac. We reviewed the remastered versions of Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light (the two games that make up the Redux package) and thought very highly of them.

The remake has sold more than 1.5 million copies across all systems, Deep Silver is proud to say. The game is available on Steam now (cross-buy means owners of the Windows version will get the Mac version and vice versa), and will be coming to the Mac App Store on April 16.

Grand Theft Auto 5 For PC Has Finally Arrived

Metro Redux enhanced the visuals of the original titles, giving the two games full high-fidelity treatment on consoles that they did not receive the first time around. Metro 2033 Redux in particular benefits from the improvements (which also extend to gameplay and AI), and was given many of the features added in Metro Last Light such as gun customization.

"We are thrilled with the performance of Metro Redux," said Menno Van der Bil, international commercial director at Deep Silver. "4A Games have created one of the benchmarks by which other re-masters will be judged, and we have seen their efforts rewarded with fantastic critical and commercial success. Metro Redux has introduced many new fans to the series, and we look forward to reaching a whole new audience on Mac."
