iPhone 5 Release with Samsung Galaxy S3 Maker's Quad Core Technology Expected

Apple's iPhone 5 continues to emit rumors of a fall release date later this year.  Excitement surrounds Apple's next-gen Smartphone for its speculated specs including a larger 4 inch screen display, uniquely slim designed case, and now a quad-core processor.

Based on reports from Digitimes, the iPhone 5 is expected to integrate the Exynos 4 quad-core processor which is supplied by rival company Samsung.  Samsung's Galaxy S3 Smartphone already boasts a quad core processor and it is interesting that Apple will look to follow the same architecture amidst a heated patent battle between the two companies.

According to AppleInsider, the A5X processor was an updated GPU that upgraded to quad-core.  The upgrade allowed the new iPad to uphold its Retina display high resolution technology.

"If Apple does build a quad-core ARM CPU for its next iPhone, the upgrade could presumably be significant enough to earn the chip the 'A6' distinction," stated the report.

Other than an upgraded processor, the iPhone 5 is said to feature a Retina display screen that measures 4 inches corner to corner with a 16x9 ratio.  It will be 30% larger than the previous iPhone viewing area.

The new Auto Layout feature stated in the SDK of iOS 6 can make developers easier in adjusting the screen change in their apps to keep the image suited.

The iOS 6 also brings new features like its own new map app with 3-D Views and turn-by-turn spoken directions doing away with Google maps along with Siri Technology with more languages for the new iPad.

Apple's iPhone 5 will also feature Near Field Communication (NFC), 4G LTE Connectivity, 8 megapixel rear camera, integrated iOS 6, enhanced Siri, smaller sized dock connector, and liquid metal casing.  The battery life is also expected to improve with everything packed into a slimmer body.

Apple's relationship with Samsung appears to be ongoing despite the recent lawsuits. Samsung lost two patent cases to Apple within a week's time in the highly competitive market of  mobile devices.  The ruling concluded with the banning of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 and Galaxy Nexus Smartphones in America.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Smartphone reached US shores and it comes with a 4.8-inch screen with 1280x720 resolution.  The phone's external display remains sturdy with Gorilla Glass 2 while its internal hardware is  powered by a 1.4GHz Exynos 4 Quad processor with 1GB RAM.  Galaxy S3 runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and sports an 8MP rear and a 1.9MP front camera.

The iPhone 5 faces stiff competition from the Galaxy S3 as Samsung's overseas sales out did the iPhone 4S with over 4 million sold units in a few days.  Samsung's Galaxy S2 sold 10 million phones in 6 months and dubbed the fastest selling device in history.
