Final Fantasy XV Characters And Storyline Revealed During Tokyo Game Show

At the recent Tokyo Game Show, world renowned game maker Square Enix revealed more details of their anticipated and much awaited upcoming game, Final Fantasy XV. The Square Enix panel, according to reports, laid down the game's storyline, protagonists and the mysterious black haired women who were one of the Final Fantasy XV characters to make its debut.

According to VineReport, the first to reveal the news was game director Hajime Tabata and said that the storyline of Final Fantasy XV tackles the war of Niflheim against the free and the walled nation of Lucis. Noctis, the game's male hero and his dad Regis dwell in this nation, which was kept safe all on account of the force of their Crystal, which gives them the ability to invoke weapons voluntarily. Regis, being the Crystal's watchman, uses his energy to shield their nation.

Another protagonist, Lunafreya, was also revealed as an oracle that had the powers to communicate with the gods. She is the youngest oracle in history, and she is engaged to Noctis. It was also bared that the dark haired woman in the game was Gentiana who will carry an important role in the game, but details were not provided.

It was also announced at the Tokyo Game Show the game's new fishing and Chocobo riding mechanics. The fishing aspect of the game was also revealed to carry a vital element in the game and it will have different types of fishing rods, maybe for special catches. Gamers will also have to fish in different ponds, lakes, and other kinds of water bodies. Players will fight with the fish and will be served as a meal for the entire party as a status bluff.

In addition, Kotaku also reported that Tabata hinted to resurrect Gilgamesh in the DLC packs. Gilgamesh is an old character that was an avid sword collector. The Final Fantasy XV is expected to be officially released for the PS4 sometime in 2016.
